How systems can help achieve goals

Updated: Jan 22, 2021

Sometimes it is as simple as establishing a system that can be the difference in achieving a goal. We all set goals with the hopes of accomplishing them; I want to lose 15 pounds, I want to gain patiences, or I want to be successful. Now with a system in place these things are more attainable. I will work out 3 times a week for 45 minutes. I will track moments in a journal where my impatience’s created a negative impact. I will obtain knowledge in an area with the support of a mentor. The end result of knowing how to execute a system is reaching your goals. On the other side of this if you don’t see the results you were hoping to achieve with the system. Try to apply an understanding of a lesson rather than a loss. Lessons are teachable moments, if we learn can it truly be considered a loss. The language we use while engaging in and maintaining our commitments is important. Creating visual reminders can also help anchor the promises we make to ourselves when on the pursuit of making our goals our reality.
